Preferred Towing Program

If you carry the necessary comprehensive and/or collision coverage on your damaged automobile, you have access to our Preferred Towing Program.

If your tow is not accident related, Emergency Road Service coverage must be shown on  your declarations page for coverage to apply. Please note that this coverage is not a service provided by WMI; it is reimbursement for services such as: towing, mechanical breakdown, lost keys, and delivery of gas.

Procedure

1. Review the list below (alphabetical by city) for the closest towing provider to your vehicle. If there are none listed in the general area of your loss, bypass the program and look for a local tow company.
2. Call the provider chosen, provide requested insurance information, and have the vehicle towed to the nearest body shop, “Direct Repair Program Shop” or your residence if it is in the general area of the loss.
3. Follow the normal claims procedure from this point forward.
